TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Important roadwork will begin Monday on State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes and is expected to continue for the next couple of months, causing traffic delays in the U.S. 41 area.
During a previous resurfacing project, voids were discovered beneath SR 54, just east of the intersection near Lowe’s and the Village Lakes Shopping Center.
These voids will require extensive repairs, resulting in necessary lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound travel lanes.
Lane closures are scheduled to begin Monday and will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
During this time, eastbound SR 54 from west of U.S. 41 to west of Osprey Lane will be affected. A single eastbound lane will be closed in the U.S. 41 area.

Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly.
