ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A major crash slowed traffic on northbound I-275 in St. Petersburg Saturday afternoon.
Authorities have not released any official information, but data from the Florida Department of Transportation showed a severe backup at 54th Avenue South, close to mile marker 18.
The traffic extended roughly halfway down the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
The crash was first reported at around 1:10 p.m. and closed all northbound lanes for around an hour. As of 2:10 p.m., only the left lane was still closed.
Traffic is still moving slowly, and drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.
