VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Volusia County Sheriff's Office arrested an 11-year-old boy for online threats against his middle school.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office stated that the FBI notified law enforcement that the child made a threat on TikTok, commenting that he planned to "shoot up Campbell Middle School in Daytona Beach."
Law enforcement responded to the child's home, determining that the boy did not have access to weapons to carry out the threat.
The child was taken into custody on Saturday and transported to the Family Resource Center for processing.
