PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — There is now another way to access Caladesi Island.
The Caladesi Island Ferry announced Wednesday that the service to the island would return on Thursday.
"The docks have been rebuilt, the boats have been repaired, and everything’s ready to set sail once again. Whether you’re a local or visiting, the Caladesi Ferry is your ticket to one of Florida’s most unique island experiences — only accessible by boat!" a post on Facebook read.
The ferry service was not available for the last 10 months due to storm damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
"We’re so excited to welcome everyone aboard as ferry service to and from the beautiful, one-of-a-kind Caladesi Island returns today!" the ferry service said.
Visitors can catch the ferry at Honeymoon Island. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Caladesi Island from Honeymoon Island.
Ferry tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6 to 12. Kids under 5 are free. You can purchase tickets at the Caladesi Ferry Ticket Office at Honeymoon Island State Park.
