KEY WEST, Fla. (WFLA) — As of Thursday, flyers can enjoy a relaxing trip on Breeze Airways with the launch of their first nonstop flight from Tampa to Key West.
At 8:07 a.m., Breeze flight 160 arrived at Key West International Airport from Tampa International Airport.
To commemorate the event, passengers celebrated with balloons, goodie bags, and a slice of Key Lime Pie.
The new airline also provides nonstop service to Orlando International Airport (MCO), though more routes are expected to be added this fall.
Flights are currently only available Sunday through Friday but starting in July, the airline will be increasing them to six days a week.
