SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A third suspect was arrested and charged Friday in connection with a shooting that occurred at Twin Lakes Park last November.
On Nov. 3, 2024, Sarasota County deputies responded to the park at 6700 Clark Road. There, they found the body of a 17-year-old boy and another victim who was alive but injured.
Further investigation revealed that an after-hours party resulted in shots being fired, and both individuals sustained gunshot-related injuries, according to deputies.
On Friday, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Jonathan Vivar.
He is being held at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility.
