JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) -- A semi-truck crashed into a building in Jacksonville, trapping the driver inside.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the crash on the city's Eastside on Tuesday morning.
JFRD officials told NBC affiliate WTLV the driver had to be extracted from the semi after it collided with the nearly 100-year-old building. Crews worried the roof would collapse on them as they tended to the driver, who was left with serious injuries.
Surveillance camera video appeared to show the semi hitting a pickup truck before crashing into the building. No one was inside of the building at the time of the crash.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
